12 Peers Theater's 2012 - 2013 Auditions will be held on October 28th, 2012 from 10am - 2pm, and October 29th, 2012 from 6pm - 10pm. Please prepare 2 contrasting contemporary monologues, each no longer than 2 minuets in length, and be prepared to read from the script. We are seeking Equity and non-Equity actors. EVELYN (LATE 20’S – LATE 30’S) – A very high profile publisher in England, Evelyn knows how to get what she wants. She dresses to impress and her charm, as well as her ability to manipulate, make her highly successful. British dialect required for this role. VERY BEST BUDDY (LATE 20’S – LATE 30’S) – A very charismatic and charming character with a big secret, he’s a serial killer. Best friends with BIRTHDAY BOY. Doubles with CARROWAY from Talk About the Passion by Graham Farrow.
BIRTHDAY BOY (LATE 20’S – LATE 30’S) – Very neurotic best friend of VERY BEST BUDDY and boyfriend of SHINY PENNY. He is celebrating his birthday and cannot move his legs due to be poisoned. Physical comedy a must for this role.
SHINY PENNY (LATE 20’S – LATE 30’S) – Girlfriend of BIRTHDAY BOY who has a tough as nails personality. She is not afraid to speak her mind and tells it like it is. Doubles with Evelyn from Talk About the Passion by Graham Farrow.
FENG SHUI (MID 20’S – 40’S) – Asian lesbian who is not willing to back down for the one that she loves. Must be comfortable in sexual situations.
MOTO (MID 20’S – 40’S) – Neighbor to BIRTHDAY BOY and VERY BEST BUDDY. He comes to check on them when he hears noise coming from their apartment and pays the price!
We will also be seeking actors of all types and ages for Summer Scribes Series which will take place June 9th-10th, 23rd-24th & July 7th-8th, 21st-22nd. Actors do not need to be available for all shows to be considered.
